Saxons Five-Year Project

Now that John Simm went crashing out of Doctor Who last night in typical Who fashion he now has agreed to serve time. John Simm has signed up to play a UK prison inmate in a Channel 4 docu-drama 7 days to be filmed over five years for broadcast in 2012. Shot by director Michael Winterbottom over a real time period it will provide authenticity in the ageing process of Simm's character and the five-year separation from his family.
